Little bluebird

 I'm busy working on quite a few custom doll orders right now, and since I generally make two dolls for people to choose from, I'll be listing the extra dolls in the shop as I go.  But this little bluebird doll is one that I was inspired to start quite a while back and finally finished up while I was waiting for a new wool order to arrive.  I love her and had a lot of fun making her.  I was tempted to go crazy and totally cover her with the little handstitched feathers, but time and therefore the subsequent cost...  maybe sometime.  

Meet Beatrice!

Hair: bright blue

Body: ultrasoft blend of cashmere, lambswool and angora

Loves: summer sprinklers, comics and banana cream pie.

Planning out Gussy's birthday party for tomorrow - last minute I know!

I know peaches are out of season!  I know I don't live somewhere gloriously warm where the seasons are all turned around and it's actually a sunny summer day.  I'm pretty sure it would have to be berry cake instead - um, because berries are completely in season!  ha

I'm also working on some little fabric clouds that he can hang in his room.

But what he really wants is this:
